I’m sitting at a desk by the window at Media Centre today. I have a pile of paperwork in front of me, that I’m cracking through at good pace. Homemade cottage pie is sitting in my locker, ready to go for lunch in a few minutes (when the kitchen quietens down I bit, I reason). Fluffy, floaty, barely-there snow is sifting from the sky outside. It looks so festive.

All Christmas shopping for NZ: done. Not going to stress about UK things for a few weeks. I’m on top of the decorations this year (pine cones and dried-out orange wreathy things) and a couple of jars of pickled onions have been made and are waiting in readinessĀ for gifting. I know. Slightly scary levels of domestic, crafty, Christmassy happiness going onĀ at the moment.

Adding to all-round digusting happiness: just found a stash of Lady Grey tea bags under the desk. Rejoice!
