Autumn pestilence
November 24, 2010
Ah. Just as I recover from the flea episode of 2009 – I’ve finally stopped recoiling from any dark speck that resembles anything flea-like – we as a flat discover that mice are living in our kitchen. And probably the living room. And I’m pretty sure they’re everywhere else in the house too.
The odd thing with this round of home invaders is that I’m not too bothered. Well, I say that, but I’ve been bothered enough to clean the entire flat, stuff crevices with steel wool, lay shedloads (newly acquired brit word – too poncy?) of bait and spray every surface with tabasco sauce (house mice are not condiment fans, according to some hippies people).
Traps arrived in the post today – pictures to follow!
